This is an original antique Bretby ceramic pottery arts & crafts movement / art nouveau tobacco jar from the late 1800's - early 1900's. The lid has a lovely lady on the top. The jar is decorated with colourful stones. It is signed on the bottom Bretby England 1634. Including the top lid and lady, it measures 6 1/4 inches or 16 cm in height and 5 1/4 inches or 13.4 cm in diameter. It has a repair on the jar on one side and a few small chips as photographed. It is still a lovely jar and is in overall good condition for its age.
