This is an original antique Victorian silver plated jewelry or pincushion sewing box from the late 1800's. It measures 4 inches or 10 cm in length, 2 inches or 5 cm in width, and 2 inches or 5 cm in height. The top has a padded pincushion. This was once used for hat pins or sewing needles. The box has 4 ball feet on the bottom. The pincushion is filled with straw or sawdust. The inside is lined with silk. It has some wear as photographed due to age and use but it is still a very beautiful box that is well over 100 years old.
