This is a stunning original antique Victorian Gutta Percha folding frame with an ambrotype portrait of a man picture inside. The frame has reliefs of people on both sides and ornate decorations around the edges. Inside, it is lined with red velvet on the left side. The portrait is inside a fitted gold frame on the right side. The frame has a ambrotype photograph on glass portrait of a man. It is made of glass and the glass of the photograph has cracked. The glass of the frame is in great condition so it protects the cracks of the photo underneath. When closed, this frame measures 9.5cm in height, 8.5cm in width and 2.5cm in depth. This is one of the most beautiful and immaculate gutta percha frames that I have ever seen. It would be a wonderful addition to a collection.
