This is a lovely original vintage hand carved trinket or jewelry box or lidded tobacco jar. It has a fisherman and nautical scene hand carved on top of the lid. It measures 3 1/2 inches or 9cm tall and 3 1/2 inches or 9cm in diameter. I am not sure what wood it is made of but it is gorgeous. It is in very good condition inside and out. It is signed on the bottom, Taormina Sicily which would be Italy.
