This is an original antique Dutch wooden box. It has beautiful hand painted flowers on all sides. It has a slide top opening lid so I am not sure if this was meant for candles, a sewing box, or another purpose. It is quite large for a candle box. Not including the top handle, it measures 8 inches in width, 7 inches in height and 14 1/2 inches in length. The top handle measures an additional 7 1/2 inches so that would make it 14 1/2 inches in total height if you include the top handle as well. It has a very small spot of white paint near the bottom. It is in very good condition inside and out.
